A Correspondence From #Montreal: #Poutine Anyone?

This is my last weekend in Montreal. I have to say, I have been warmly received by everyone (even though it snowed here on my second day). Regardless of the weather, I have had the time of my life! Everyone here is extremely nice and even though my Francais is a bit rusty, they are more than accommodating with superb Anglais.

Next time you're planning a vacation. Go somewhere unexpected. Meet people who speak a different language other than your native tongue and PARTY HARD. I guarantee, you will have the time of your life!

As any maple blooded Canadian knows, any excursion into the wild of the night can be hard work and staying fueled is a necessity. If you're in Quebec (or anywhere in Canada), there's only one thing that can resolve this issue and it's called, Poutine.

To some it up, its fries, cheese curd with brown gravy ladled over it. It also comes in every variation you can imagine (let your imagination run wild). I have to say I didn't dislike it nor did I love it. What I can say is that it hit the spot at that time (I just don't want to be in that spot again in the near future).

To sum things up, having a great time and I hope you are too whereever you are on this incredible planet.

Going into the weekend, there's only one thing to remember...

DON'T FORGET TO PARTY ROCK!!!  :-)

  1. So cool that you got to visit Montréal, but really, if I may, you didn't choose the best time of year!

I think you should definitely consider going back in the summertime when it's nice and warm and Montreal is sooooo much alive with all the festivals going on! Now THAT would be totally worth it! ;)

Oh, and say... did you know that poutine also exists in a dessert version? Maybe that one would tickle your fancy a little more!

    1. No doubt FO, any place on this planet in the summer is great and dessert poutine sounds even more desperate to me but I'll try anything once... ;-)
