The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us

Motivation is one of those things that either you have an abundance of or it's very elusive and hard to come by (no matter what the incentive).

Research suggests that motivation is based on personal character, IQ and environmental factors but we all know that there's a missing variable in this equation.

What is that missing X Factor that some people have where they are not only motivated but can motivate others to share a common goal or vision?

Can anyone learn how to be motivated?

I have something to share [sitting in a circle with a small group]. My name is Michael and I'm addicted to motivation. Picked up a book one day and I've been hooked on motivation ever since. I even seek out motivational content and if I hear a story that's inspirational, I get an overwhelming feeling of euphoria [especially stories of perseverance].

Does this sound like you?

Have you been secretly getting motivated and not sharing your dream of success with friends and family because you're afraid of what they'll think of you?

What are things that motivate you and get you excited about life? You might be surprised by the truth of what motivates us.

“Desire is the key to motivation, but it’s determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal — a commitment to excellence — that will enable you to attain the success you seek.” –Mario Andretti
