Obstacles are the one thing that makes us all human. There is no amount of money that can prevent obstacles from coming into your life.
Neither race, religion, creed or color apply here.
Needless to say, there are very real obstacles in the world that keeps millions of people from eating/feeding their children [hunger], having adequate jobs/housing [poverty/homelessness] and disease to name a few.
Those may be issues that are beyond a quick fix but what about the things you can control? Most people in the modern world are used to having some sort of obstacle in their lives. The question is how we handle those inconveniences in life that gives us our quality in life.
You might remember the Capitol One "No" commercials where the answer is ALWAYS, no [for everything]. We've become conditioned to expect obstacles in our lives and for nothing to come easy.
Much like the saying, "hardship builds character", its becoming a rite of passage.
The reality is we all need to find ways to overcome obstacles in our lives to achieve short term and long term goals.
Only when obstacles come frequently and large should one step back and reevaluate one's journey or objectives.
In a world where advertisers tell us, "you don't have the perfect body, perfect car or perfect life". We should strive for progress, not perfection. When we make progress, we know we're making a measurable step towards a specific goal.
Think back in the last 6 months, can you recall your progress towards a goal you achieved step-by-step?
Keep in mind, there is no surefire way to overcome obstacles but knowing you're making progress towards your goals is all you need to keep the flames of determination going strong.
"Nobody no knows where you might end up, nobody knows..." ~Psapp [lyrics from "Cosy In The Pocket" Grey's Anatomy Intro]
